Locally available with a personal contact who can respond quickly when issues arise — for Microtronics, the advantages of TriPoints are clear. IoT systems must be produced in the shortest possible time while still meeting high quality standards.
Task
After disappointing experiences with EMS providers in Asia and Eastern Europe, Microtronics now primarily manufactures in Austria and nearby regions.
Even within Europe, EMS quality can vary. The goal was reliability and a short time-to-market.
Although the initial volumes were relatively small, the collaboration was to be on equal footing — including personal consultation.
Solution
Following the first order, TriPoints was able to deliver an initial flawless batch of 56 IoT modules within five weeks.
The components were sourced through TriPoints’ central procurement, and the modules were produced at the Vienna site.
Microtronics was very satisfied with both quality and delivery reliability.
Result
After a successful start, Microtronics immediately placed an order for a second series of 250 units of a more complex IoT module.
This module handles measurement and control tasks in remote control technology and includes PLC, router, firewall, and data transmission functionality.
This project is also progressing successfully, and the customer rated the initial partial delivery very positively. Further projects are already in planning.
