Transparency and trust are built through good communication and personal visits at TriPoints’ local production site. Together, we were able to bring Storebox’s access control system to series maturity and scale it in the shortest possible time, despite international supply chain challenges.
Task
Storebox was looking for a local EMS partner to produce the prototype of its access control system in series. A personal contact on site was desired, with a foundation of trust and technical expertise — especially to tackle the major challenge of sourcing components that were very difficult to obtain internationally due to crises.
Solution
We supported Storebox even before the production process started and even acted in advance. TriPoints took on the risk and procured key components early to avoid major delays and prevent a halt in expansion. This allowed the customer to produce on time and stay on track with their growth strategy.
Result
After the order of the first 100 units, TriPoints optimized the processes and reduced the unit costs of the access control system for the customer by about 10 percent. Savings were achieved in assembly, for example, by cutting and milling components and printing on films. This will benefit all future orders and allow Storebox to scale even more efficiently.
