Maximum flexibility was required for the production of ZKW’s self-developed test modules. TriPoints handled not only the PCB production, but also the assembly, software flashing, testing, and final assembly for the lighting technology group.
Task
ZKW was looking for a partner that could do more than produce the circuit board — a full-service supplier for the entire system, including special requests.
Flexibility was key. The initial batch was to consist of around 140 modules.
To ensure the highest quality, ZKW also required a custom test strategy with professional test equipment construction.
Solution
Thanks to flexible adjustments in the production process at TriPoints, ZKW was able to manufacture its test modules significantly more cost-effectively, reducing unit costs.
For example, implementing a software update during the pilot run was no problem.
TriPoints also solved component delivery challenges for the customer just in time.
Result
TriPoints has already delivered two types of the ZKWpower test module. The quality is excellent, and the units function flawlessly.
As a result, ZKW has already placed an order for the next batch.
Additionally, we are currently working together on an even more flexible component sourcing strategy so that future projects can also be handled on time.
